At Ten

It's Monday and that means I get to bug you all again! Heather here, and I'd like to share this page I made about my daughter's current thoughts, dreams, likes, and dislikes. I actually dreamed this layout. I was thinking about what I could do with this current photo of Alexis right before I went to bed. I had a dream that I used thought bubbles and that I stitched a line to connect them to her. When I sat down to create the page, that's exactly what I did!

This is technically a hybrid layout because I typed the journaling on digital journaling spots, then I printed  and cut them out. The journaling spots seemed a little plain, so I colored the doodled border around the journaling spot with a teal color pencil.

I really loved the Thickers in this month's scrapbook kit. I used them to create the title for my page. As you can see, I also added a little flower to her hair. I put a gem in the center of the flower to add more sparkle!

I finished the page by adding her full name over a tiny bit of scalloped cardstock. It felt a little bit bare, so I layered a circle and added another gem to give it more detail.

That's all for me today, but don't forget to enter this month's challenges! There's always a really good prize for the winner and you totally don't want to miss out on the inspiration.

  1. I really really enjoy this LO! Genius to stitch journaling spots to the photo, and what a treasure that will be to your daughter one day! I love the little embellie in her hair and the rose ribbon anchoring the adorable photo. Clever border treatment for the journaling spots too!

  2. I love the design of this layout!!

  3. This is one of the best layouts I've seen in ages!!!!! I must do this with my daughter. Love, love, love!
