Use Your Stash - 3rd May Challenge

It's Thursday! That means a new challenge! Let's get right to it. Last week, I shared a LO using the Out of Print Scrapbook Kit. Well, this week I am continuing with that. There is a twist though.. you have to use buttons, brads and flowers on your LO. I know we all have plenty of those in our stash! I am bound and determined to use up my stash! Here is what I created...

I pulled the pinks and green from the Scrapbook kit to go with my photo of my daughter. I used a sketch from the talented Aphra Bolyer for this.

From the Scrapbook kit, I used the paper, of course, the brads and buttons.

From my stash, I found some paper flowers with the bling on them and some floss, as well as some thickers alphas for the title.

I am happy to say, I have just bits left of this kit! Yay!!

Use Your Stash Challenge

Hey everybody! Challenge day! Time for a new challenge. Today, I thought I would do something different. I have a backlog of kits piling up here. I know from talking to others, I am not the only one. So... I decided for this challenge, I would dig out a past kit of Jessica's and dig through some others, using bits from other kits as well. I also dug into my personal stash.

Here is what I made.I decided to use the Out of Print kit Jessica did awhile back. I want to say this was last fall? I have had this photo sitting out for quite some time now. This was from Easter, 2005 or 6. I need to do some digging to find out for sure. I used a Page Maps sketch I saved.

Some details shots...

The polka dot bracket is from the Birthday Bash kit. ;) Prima flowers and brads from my stash.I also did some hand sewing on my page too. I do have a sewing machine, but do not use it on paper.

So... the challenge if you so choose to take it....

Use an older kit that you have in your stash. The twist, add some sewing - hand, sewing machine or pen stitches to your page.

You have until May 2, 2012 to complete your project to be in the drawing for the April prize.

That's What Friends Are For Challenge

Hi everyone! It's Heather, and I'm here to post the second August challenge. I know that none of you are shocked to find out that it's a sketch based challenge! Scroll down to check out the sketch...

The challenge this week is easy peasy! All you have to do is create a page that's based on this sketch. I would also like the theme of the page to have something to do with friends or friendship. My daughter is super excited to be back at school this year. She and her best friend got placed in the same class! Seeing her all excited about it made me remember these photos of her and her friend.

Aren't they cute?! I used my Scraptastic Club "Out Of Print" kit and add on to create this page. If you haven't ordered your kit yet, hurry! I heard today that quantities are really low.

It's Monday.....which means back to work for me. I'm not sure that I'm ready, but off I go.

Such a sweet layout....love how the colors match perfectly with these pictures....it's like the papers were made for these pictures.

I made this for my sister's new apartment! I hope that she like it. I used 4 of the patterned papers from the Out of Print kit (I put an extra set of patterned papers aside to work on this canvas).

Good morning my Scraptastic friends!

I got to sit down last night and break into the Out of Print kit.....so totally love this kit! Love these papers, just plain love it all!

So here's my layout....

I just love the way this one turned out, I think it's the pink and teal that does it for me!

I think I will break into the Summer Star kit tonight after the kids are in bed!
