Good morning my Scraptastic friends!

It's a new year...I can't believe it!

I hope that you all had a fabulous New Year's, mine was spent in Florida, I had to take a trip down there to pick up the kids. It was great to see everyone. That's the one thing that I truly miss here in South Carolina...the family!

Today, I'd like to share some layouts from our December's Member Spotlight Kim Allen...Kim worked with both of the December Kits...here's a little bit about Kim...

Hello Everyone.  My name is Kim and I am so proud to be the December spotlight member.  I first got started scrapping to support my best friend who was a Creative Memories consultant.  In fact, I said I was just buying some stuff to help her out.  Flash forward some 15 years later, she is NO longer a consultant but I am still going strong scrapbooking!!

A few years ago, my sister introduced me to online scrap clubs.  I was lucky enough to find Jessica and the Scraptastic Club kits.  I think I have gotten EVERY single kit that Jessica has done.  I love my Scraptastic Club kits and am stalking the mailman each month when it's time for the new kits.

Can't wait to see what Jessica has in store for us next month.

This morning I'd like to introduce you to Khristen Foss who is our Member Spotlight for November.

Hey Scraptastic friends, my name is Khristen Foss. I live in East Rochester, NH with my hardworking hubby, Eryk, and our three children Andraia (11), Rileigh (9), and Patryk (3).  Most of my layouts revolve around them, but occasionally I am inspired to work on my HUUUUUGE heritage project...I have acquired every photo from my mother's side of the family after the passing of my grandmother, and let me tell you, there are a LOT of pics to get scrapped...some dating back as far as the 1880's!!!!!  When I'm not scrapping or creating something out of paper for my Etsy shop, I am writing articles for blogs (yes, for money!) to earn some scrappy cash.  With 3 kids, there is always something going on, but when we have down time we love to explore our wonderful state.  It's definitely great to live in the Northeast...we have the mountains, the ocean, big cities, small towns, farms, and four seasons.  I love camping, hiking, swimming, running, needlepoint, reading, skiing, and the beach.  (I'd say we all love these things together as  family, but that would be a lie...my 11 year old is quite the complainer when we try to hike or do anything that requires physical activity.  She's becoming quite the lazy tween!)  I love getting my Scraptastic kit each month as everything is so perfect together, it always seems to inspire me to create each time I open that box :)  Currently, I design for the True XOXO Girls challenge blog, Dream Valley Challenge Blog, the Crafter's Companion Info Blog, and Crafter's Companion USA Challenge Blog, and am a past designer for the sketches4all forum.  You can keep up with my work at my own personal blog, Khristen's Craft Room.

october's members spotlight.....

Today I'm super excited to share our October's Member Spotlight.

Let's meet Kimberly Clark

Hi everyone!!  My name is Kimberly and I am a scrap-a-holic. It all started with a creative memories class in 1994 when I felt the first twinge of the addition.  At the time my daughter was only two, being a single mom I wanted a way to pass on the memories and a place to store my pictures.  My first Layouts were very simple.  In 2009 I moved to Hamilton Ontario and wanted to meet new people and reached for the local Creative Memories group.  Boy was I in for a shock... Layouts had changed from the blank pages with the tiny triangles and basic corner rounders. I had so much to learn from this group.  I soon discovered the world of blogs.  After searching through blogs and scrap booking websites I found the monthly Scraptastic club.  Now monthly I look forward to the pizza box sitting in my mail after a busy day at work.  Thanks for listening and have a Scraptastic day!!!

september's member spotlight......

It's time to announce, share and reveal the Members Spotlight for September!

Our member spotlight for September is.......

 

Rebecca VanDyke

I was one of those people who said there was no way I would ever spend time with all those little snippets of paper and stickers and scrapbook. Why would I want to do that when the pictures looked just as good stuck on one of those vinyl adhesive albums, and besides that I was too busy quilting. Well, someone talked me into going to a CM demo and I quietly laid my quilting needle down and picked up my scissors and hundreds and hundreds of layouts later I'm still happily scrapping away! And of course along with scrapbooking as come the love of taking pictures. Sigh....life IS good!

 

Rebecca chose the Too Cool For School Kit and Add-On this month.

Here's what she did so far (I believe that she has more in store for us later this month).....

The journaling reads:

I may not be the #1 girl in your life anymore, but just remember Buddy, I WAS the first that you asked to marry you, never mind that you were only three at the time…..  (The #1 and the journaling are done on transparency)
