Good morning my Scraptastic friends!

It's a new year...I can't believe it!

I hope that you all had a fabulous New Year's, mine was spent in Florida, I had to take a trip down there to pick up the kids. It was great to see everyone. That's the one thing that I truly miss here in South Carolina...the family!

Today, I'd like to share some layouts from our December's Member Spotlight Kim Allen...Kim worked with both of the December Kits...here's a little bit about Kim...

Hello Everyone.  My name is Kim and I am so proud to be the December spotlight member.  I first got started scrapping to support my best friend who was a Creative Memories consultant.  In fact, I said I was just buying some stuff to help her out.  Flash forward some 15 years later, she is NO longer a consultant but I am still going strong scrapbooking!!

A few years ago, my sister introduced me to online scrap clubs.  I was lucky enough to find Jessica and the Scraptastic Club kits.  I think I have gotten EVERY single kit that Jessica has done.  I love my Scraptastic Club kits and am stalking the mailman each month when it's time for the new kits.

Can't wait to see what Jessica has in store for us next month.

December Challenge

Happy Thursday! Can you believe how fast this holiday season has flown by?? I can't believe that is will be a new year in a few days!!! I hope this year has been a great one for all.

How about one last challenge for the month of December?? I know everyone is busy and pressed for time, so I will make this as easy one... a color challenge!

With all of the new holiday photos that were taken, how about a twist to the tradition red and green? I love the blue and red together. Add in a little kraft cardstock to make those colors pop! So, lets see your blue, red and kraft LO's. If you are feeling a bit adventurous, try making a double page or atleast a multi-photo'd page. Here is my example.

I hope you are able to sneak in some crafty time for yourself this weekend!!! If you would like to play around with any of the other challenges this month, they are up at the top of the blog on the right. It's challenge time!!!

Today I'm giving you a little recipe challenge based on this layout that I did using the Naughty or Nice? Kit and Add-On...

So here's my recipe:

3 patterned papers

1 cardstock

2 different alphas

3 pictures

and

stickles

So there you have it!

I can't wait to see what you all do with recipe.

 Well, I hope that everyone is ready for Christmas because it's almost here. The last of the kids presents arrived last night, and everything is officially wrapped and under the tree.

We are ready and eagerly awaiting Santa's arrival :)

When I was looking through all of my pictures for Christmas ones to scrap....I just couldn't resist these. The look on Bailey's face just cracks me up :)

I added the sparkly thickers and the stickles from my stash. I just wanted a little bling :)

it's beginning to look a lot like Christmas........

Happy Hump Day!

So are we all in the Christmas spirit yet???

I know that I am. I'm going to start putting the gifts under the tree tonight after the kids go to bed. I just love when they get up in the morning and then realize there are gifts under there. But then of course they always start with all of their questions. Like "which ones are mine?" "what did you get me?"

I still love it, questions and all!

What are your plans for today?

We are going to Savannah to watch Bailey's cheerleading competition....that will eat up our whole day, so that will be it for us. I'm hoping that when we get back, I can get into my scraproom to finish up some projects :)

First Challenge of December

Hi everyone. Here it is: the first day of December! We’re getting geared up for the holidays and a new month of challenges. I’m Izzy Anderson and I’m delighted to be guest designing this month. I played with the Naughty or Nice? Kit and loved the fun mix of papers and embellies.

I scrapped a photo of my Dad with my brothers on Christmas morning. I love this Crate ornament paper. It’s so festive! I pop-dotted some of the ornaments for dimension then set off the paper by adding borders punched from cream cardstock down either side.

Your first challenge this month is to use border punches. You can use one or more and can use the border punches anywhere on the page.

This month you'll be playing for the Random Collection Kit from Crate Paper.
