Snow Angels

Happy Humpday! Michelle here to share with you one of several projects I made with my Snow What Fun kit and add-on.

Here is my page.I love how the blues in the kit matched so well with these photos from about this time last year. I used a sketch from the talented Julie Bonner. I pulled out my old 12" decorative trimmer from Creative Memories to cut the wave in the papers.

I layered the journaling cards and embellishments, adding some foam adhesive to give it some lift. I added a little sparkle to the center with the frosted stickles in the kit.

Of course, I had to play with my Cricut and Snow Day cartridge and cut out a little snow angel. I think it turned out pretty cute.

That is it for me for now. I will be back next week with another project.

Happy Scrappin'.

She Art Fly Girl

Hi everyone! It's Heather, and I'm here to share the first of MANY projects I've done with the January 2012 Button Box kit and add on. I wanted to use my kit to try something different this month. I've been seeing She Art girls all over the internet, and my good friend Nancy sent me one. I decided to make one to send to her in return!

A lot of the embellishments on this canvas have meaning. The three butterflies stand for her three kids that she home schools. That's where the sentiment came from too! (She's pretty awesome.) I used stamps, paint, bubble wrap, gesso, Stickles, antique lace, rub ons, and mist. I did a ton of masking. As you can see, This canvas has a little bit of everything on it!

My She Art girl is wearing boots because Nancy loves boots. Her boots have stars on them because she's originally from Texas. The extra big sun is to burn the fog off in California. That's where she lives now.

She has a belt made of antique lace that another friend gave me. I stamped with distress ink on her wings and then misted them. I added lots of bling because Nancy loves bling! Hehe

I also wanted to show you a close up look at the bottom of her dress! I inked the dress with distress ink and then added rub on stitches to the bottom. I used Stickles in between the stitches.

The grass was done in three layers. The first layer was plain green paint that I daubed on. The second layer was made up of darker paint that I swirled through. The third layer was made out of a mixture of gesso and green glimmer mist to add a bit of sparkle and texture. After it dried, I stamped a few flourishes on top with Staz On ink.

I hope that this post inspired you! Don't forget to check out the "Button Box" kit in the shop. It's just gorgeous!

my heart...

Hello everyone Amanda here! I am so honored and excited to be your guest designer for this month! Jessica sent me the fabulous Button Box Kit and Add-on to work with, and the minute I saw the "Clothesline" paper by October Afternoon, I knew I had to cut it apart and pop it up for some dimension. The colors in this kit were just perfect for this photo of my two daughters!

I had fun layering up some of the fun embellishments from both kits, I wanted to keep everything fairly simple, so that the focus would stay on the amazing banners from that paper, and of course the photo of my cuties! :)

I am so excited to be a part of the Scraptastic Club team for this month!! :)

my crazy kids and the december challenge winner

Good morning my Scraptastic friends!
TGIF
So, what are your plans for the weekend?
First on my agenda is getting my house back in order from all the Christmas celebrating.
Second is hanging with the kids.
And last is fitting in some scrappy time
: )

Well, enough about me...let's get to the winner of the December 2011 Blog Challenges.
Chosen by Random.org...the winner of the December 2011 Blog Challenges is lucky number
20
which by my calculations is...
Anna Pettit
Congratulations Anna!!! Please email me your address to contest@scraptasticclub.com
And I just wanted to thank everyone for taking part in our blog challenges. I loved looking at everyone's take on the challenges! Great job ladies!!!

Don't forget that the January 2012 Blog Challenges have started, you can find the links at the top right of the blog. The prize for this month's challenges will be a $20.00 Gift Certificate to the Scraptastic Club Store

Now, onto my crazy kids...I've been dying to jump into the Button Box Kit and Add-On, (there is only 1 kit and 1 add-on left) so today I went through all of my pictures, looking for the right ones to jump out at me and say "pick me, pick me...I'm the perfect pictures for this kit". And low and behold, I finally found them...

I'm so happy with the way it turned out. I stole Juliann's idea of painting my alphas with my red paint dabber from the August Summer Star Kit. I needed more red to make those red glasses really pop. I did some fussy cutting to make my banner, and I matted those pieces on the blue cardstock from the kit to give my banner an extra pop.

That's all for me today...I hope that you all have a fabulous day and a fabulous weekend!

member's spotlight

Good morning my Scraptastic friends!
It's a new year...I can't believe it!
I hope that you all had a fabulous New Year's, mine was spent in Florida, I had to take a trip down there to pick up the kids. It was great to see everyone. That's the one thing that I truly miss here in South Carolina...the family!

Today, I'd like to share some layouts from our December's Member Spotlight Kim Allen...Kim worked with both of the December Kits...here's a little bit about Kim...

Hello Everyone.  My name is Kim and I am so proud to be the December spotlight member.  I first got started scrapping to support my best friend who was a Creative Memories consultant.  In fact, I said I was just buying some stuff to help her out.  Flash forward some 15 years later, she is NO longer a consultant but I am still going strong scrapbooking!!

A few years ago, my sister introduced me to online scrap clubs.  I was lucky enough to find Jessica and the Scraptastic Club kits.  I think I have gotten EVERY single kit that Jessica has done.  I love my Scraptastic Club kits and am stalking the mailman each month when it's time for the new kits.

Can't wait to see what Jessica has in store for us next month.

and here's Kim's work..

Great job with those kits Kim! Love it all!!!
I think my fav is Happy Day...love that heart!

Don't forget that you have until tomorrow at midnight to submit all of your entries for the December challenges. You can find the links for the challenges at the top right of the blog. The prize for the December challenges is the Random Collection Kit from Crate Paper.

Have a great day!
