Happy Monday everyone! It's Heather, and I'm back to share my latest project. This month, every single one of my Scraptastic Club projects will have die cuts on them. I recently discovered dust on the top of my Cricut Expression and I was mortified. That's why you see the big, layered octagon used as a background. I decided to break my hexagon obsession for a while.
I've wanted to use pinwheels as an embellishment on one of my pages forever. The pinwheel journaling sticker from the Celebrate Life kit inspired me to give it a try. I googled pinwheel tutorials and they have tons of videos available on YouTube. It's easier than you think!
I do want to add one little tip that I discovered. My pinwheels looked really flat and unrealistic at first. My solution was to push a pencil into the curve of each arm so I could gently shape the curve around the barrel of the pencil. They were much more dimensional and pretty after that!
Last but not least, I took a detailed photo of the title work. I layered two of the flower stickers on top of one another, then I placed the title over that. The corner of the octagon looked really plain after all of the fancy title work, so I stuck a tiny star sticker under the edge.
I hope everyone has a wonderfully scrappy week!
love it!
