Happy Leap Day!!! The last day of the month, and boy it flew by.
I wanted to share another page I made with my A Boy's Life kit and add-on. I had so much fun with this kit this month. Like I said before, it was like it was made for me. I could seriously buy another (but they are sold out). I completed a total of 6 single paged layouts and a card, and I still have goodies left over!
My page....Puppy Hugs... This photo was too cute (and the story which is documented on the back is even more sweet). I had fun putting this together. I used a sketch from Creative Scrapper's. It had a large circle on it, and I opted to trade it out for the back-stitched heart. I used my Plantin cartridge and my Gypsy to elongate my heart some. I cut it out with my Expression and used that as a template to punch my holes for my back-stitching. The gray and teal cardstock are from my stash.

I cut my puppy out using one of the puppies on my Create a Critter cartridge and some scraps of card stock from my stash. The chipboard hearts are from my stash. I did use some Adirondack paint from a past kit of Jessica's to paint them. Once dry, I covered them with some glossy accents.
A close up of the sewn heart and chipboard hearts. Brings me back to my many years of making cross stitched projects, prior to scrapbooking. I did add a faux sewn border for a little more detail.
It is a simple page (I say that a lot don't I). But, I do love that the focus is on my photo. The story is on the back, as I had a lot to say and didn't want to make it busy with all kinds of paper strips with my journaling.
I hope you like this as much as I do. If you haven't already, try some back stitching on your page. It is really simple to do.
Thanks for stopping by!
Happy Scrappin'!
