TGIF.....who's ready for the weekend??? I can't believe Halloween is on Monday.....where did the year go?? It's seems like just yesterday we moved here from Florida....
I'm soooo jealous that they went apple picking, I really wanted to do that with the kids, but there are no orchards around here :(
Maybe next year...
I hope that you all have a wonderful day and weekend.

Hey everyone! Happy Thursday!! Michelle here. Today, I am excited to tell you our GDT Aphra Bolyer and I are teaming up to present you today's challenge!! :)
So, what did we decide to do?? A Halloween recipe challenge!!!! With Halloween just around the corner and Jessica's kits being loaded with all kinds of fun goodies, we thought this would be a lot of fun.
Here is the recipe. Choose at least 3 items from the following list.
At least 3 pattern papers
a die cut
use at least 2 of the spiders
the Tim Holtz Stain
black gems
at least 1 chipboard piece
a spooky photo
twine
black, orange and white color scheme
Here is Aphra's...
What a great Halloween decor piece! I love how she used the TH Stain to stain her frame. It really pulls out the die cut piece. And how about those spiders!!! I like how she also added dimension to the outside with the twine and the little die cut "BOO".
Here is mine...
How do you like that spooky pumpkin face?! I distressed the edge of my word paper with a scissors then went around the edge with my TH stain. I used the opposite side of the big die cut. It couldn't be any more perfect for my title. I love all the different patterned papers Jessica put in this kit. The two lines work so well together! I love all the die cuts in this kit from Authentique! For a little added interest, I threw on some black gems.
Now, it is your turn. Go! Go create something fun and spooky for Halloween!!! You still have a few days!! I can't wait to see what you create!! Make sure you link your creation up at the end of this post by November 2nd for chance to win this month's prize!!
There is still time to play along with the past challenges! They are on the right sidebar.
Happy Scrapping and have a Spooktacular Halloween!!!!
Please use the inlinkz tool to submit your entries for the last October Challenge.
What a great page Heather, again this is a huge step out of Heather's comfort zone.....she normally likes to use neutral cardstock, but as you can clearly see.....this cardstock is Real Teal by Bazzill. I love it Heather :)
So how many of you out there are Thankful for Starbucks?
Me personally, I can't live with out my green tea from Publix.
Awesome page Juliann....I always love all of your distressing.
Have a great day everyone, and be sure to check back tomorrow for the last of the October Challenges. You can find all of the links to the challenges at the top right on the blog!

Good morning ladies! It's Heather, and I am back again to challenge you this week. I know you all know by now that my favorite kind of challenge is a sketch challenge, but this week I'm going to add a twist to get you thinking and creating. Here is the sketch I'd like you to use...
It might look familiar! That's because it's based on my "Pumpkin Killers" layout that I made with the October Witching Hour kit and add on. It's a seriously cute kit, so if you haven't gotten your hands on one yet. Hurry!
Now here's the twist! I would like for you to use (or make) a dimensional embellishment on your page. Drag out the pop dots or the foam tape and let's see some depth! In my example page, I glued the bats down and then lifted and shaped the wings like they were flying off of the page.
Easy peasy right? I can't wait to see what you all come up with. Don't forget that you all are playing for an amazing prize pack this month that includes TWO Echo Park paper lines. See the first monthly challenge here for a preview of the prize and the rules for the challenges on the Scraptastic Club blog.
Please submit your entries below for the 3rd October challenge. You have until November 2nd at midnight. Please submit only one entry, per person, per challenge. Thanks!
Please link your subsmissions below for the 3rd October Challenge.
Hi everyone!! My name is Kimberly and I am a scrap-a-holic. It all started with a creative memories class in 1994 when I felt the first twinge of the addition. At the time my daughter was only two, being a single mom I wanted a way to pass on the memories and a place to store my pictures. My first Layouts were very simple. In 2009 I moved to Hamilton Ontario and wanted to meet new people and reached for the local Creative Memories group. Boy was I in for a shock... Layouts had changed from the blank pages with the tiny triangles and basic corner rounders. I had so much to learn from this group. I soon discovered the world of blogs. After searching through blogs and scrap booking websites I found the monthly Scraptastic club. Now monthly I look forward to the pizza box sitting in my mail after a busy day at work. Thanks for listening and have a Scraptastic day!!!
I absolutely adore this.....perfect papers for the picture!
Could this be any cuter? What a sweet picture.
So, Kimberly, on my 60th Birthday.....I'll be expecting a card just like this! :)
Thanks Kimberly for sharing your beautiful work with us!
I hope that you all have a wonderful day.
Be sure to check back tomorrow for a new October Challenge with Heather. You can find all of the links to the October Challenges posted at the top right corner of the blog.
It's the start of another week.....it's finally beginning to feel like fall around here, which is perfect timing...I can't wait to start playing with the November Kits.
Today I'll be sharing a couple of layouts from our lovely Guest Designer this month......Aphra Boyler
Today, as I was finally cleaning off my desk to start working on the November kits, I found enough scraps of paper from each of the October kits to get another page for each kit scrapped.
I love how it turned out......so, maybe you should think twice before throwing out your scraps, or you could miss out on a cute page to add to your albums.
I'm still working on the scraps I found with the Blissful Sunshine Kit, but I'll show you what I'm working with. I matted each scrap with the cream cardstock from the kit........
I hope that you all have a great day!
I'll be back tomorrow with some more scrappy inspiration.
Don't forget about the October Challenges, you can find the links at the top of the blog.
